if you've spent all your money then the trip is over & the light is slowly fading
from child to the full strength of man with all his mighty deeds, abilities & powers - and then: - getting weaker, getting slower, getting older, just fading away - & the light is slowly fading
Use your torch to the extents of batteries - & the light is slowly fading
Drive your car until you're out of gas - & the light is slowly fading
The lecturer of that magazine got an eye disease - he realises, that the dimmer of his eyes light gets lower & lower - the shadows on the walls grow higher from day to day & darkness is about to veil all his sight - & the light is slowly fading
I heard a midnight talk between a philosopher & a physician - they were talking about light & energy - light is energy and is the crucial source of life & all our energy - the physician said, that in our solar system the light (& the energy) of our life's mother Sun is slowly fading..
& if the light fades it gets colder too - just remembered a text line from a song of my Massachussetian friend Ed Morgan - it was about 'getting older' and 'the nights are getting colder'(you know - these lines rhyme)
but let's stay happy or at least not desperating as long as there's a new morning with a rising sun sending consoling, supporting rays of light to us little earthlings
