today coming home from work sitting a usual only-half-present-because-reading in the tram - there was at station 'Hauptbahnhof' (main railway station) a little blonde girl about 6 years entering near the drivers cabin & asking whether this tram would go to 'Wodanstrasse', some passengers confirmed that this was right tram. -
She turned to leave the tram again, but at just that moment, the doors closed & the tram slowly began to drive. - I saw horror in her face - she screamed 'Omi!' ('Omi' is the diminutive of 'Oma' which means grandma) - Apparently her Oma was waiting outside & she had been just reconnoitering for her. She ran inside the tram to the rear end, which didn't help much. - Merciless the tram was taking her away in the big city from her grandma. - Will she ever see her Omi again? -
I had to leave next stop, but I hope she was clever enough to just drive on to the goal 'Wodanstrasse' & wait there, for her Oma to come who would probably take the next tram..
