Did you ever delve?

just 5 letters - that's the word 'delve' in english

But if you translate delve to German it becomes 38 letters, no exactly 44 letters with the blanks between the words!

So 'delve' becomes in German language: "tief in etwas greifen um etwas herauszuholen"

There is no word for delve in German so the description of what 'delve' means is that long.

Here is the word by word back translation:

tief (deep) in (in (-to)) etwas (something) greifen (grasp) um (to) etwas (something) herauszuholen (get it out)

well sometimes I prefer the English language - it's that much shorter!

(hoohm - but reflecting more about the word 'delve' - & according to the title - if I would ask "did you ever got delved" - that would probably have either a pornographic meaning or a life rescue meaning (delved from deep water), wouldn't it?)
