As supplement to my last entry -
there was another earthquake in sea (seaquake?) yesterday - this time the Indonesian government gave tsunami warning (apparently they have learnt by the last incident) - the people that lived in those endangered zones fled - but this time no tsunami came!
Hmm - & now I wonder what will happen if government gets the next tsunami warning - again don't inform the population? (But then might the next real tsunami comes) -
on the other hand - if they inform & give out tsunami warnings every time an earthquake is around & nothing happens - the Indonesians won't react anymore if a real tsunami comes - "Ah another false alarm they'll think lying in their hammocks of elusive peace & then get swept away by the big flood.
Indonesian government can never make it right - so probably they gamble about it - give the warning out or not - what's the bet?
